Report: Lazio to offer Lucas Biglia new contract to fend off Man United interest

first_img1 Manchester United’s pursuit of Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia could be thwarted as the Italians are set to offer the Argentine a new contract.The 30-year-old former Anderlecht man, was touted for a move away from the Stadio Olimpico in the summer window but remained in Serie A.As reported by Tuttosport, the Biancocelesti’s Director of Sports Igli Tare is in talks with Enzo Montepaone, Biglia’s agent, in regards to finalising a new deal.United may still pursue the midfielder but a new contract is likely to be on offer before the January transfer window opens.Arsenal have also been linked with a move for the Argentina international, who has been valued at £25million by Lazio.
